Jess Walsh | PMHNP-BC, CNM
Jess Walsh is a Certified Nurse-Midwife and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of experience empowering women to thrive. Jess blends her expertise in full-scope women’s health—spanning pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum care, perimenopause, and hormone management—with integrative and evidenced based psychiatric mental health care and lifestyle medicine. Her mission is to guide clients toward mental clarity, physical vitality, and emotional balance with compassionate, personalized care that addresses the whole person.
Jess's professional journey has taken her to Alaska, Oregon, and Arizona and has included catching babies in high risk obstetrical practices, out-of-hospital and home birth settings, serving Alaska’s Indian Health Service, and teaching medical residents. Her recent post-master’s training in Psychiatric Mental Health expands her ability to support all clients through life’s emotional and psychological challenges. Before midwifery, Jess was an alpine mountaineering, rock and ice climbing guide. She brings that same empowering spirit to her practice, helping clients navigate their health journeys with strength and resilience.
Jess has specialized training in women's health and hormone management for perimenopause and menopause, complex perinatal and postpartum psychiatry, as well as psychiatric care for people over 13 years of age. Jess has also pursued additional training in integrative women's health, perinatal and postpartum fitness coaching, nutrition and lifestyle medicine, polycystic ovarian disorder management, and the emerging field of psychedelic medicine. Jess has also received extensive education in the fields of philosophy and religious studies, which serve as a framework for her practice.
Married for over 20 years and a mother of four, Jess finds joy in hiking with her family, chasing adventures in far-flung destinations, competing in endurance sports, and dancing to live music. Her vibrant energy and deep commitment to her craft make her a trusted partner for clients seeking to optimize their health and live boldly.

Women's Health visits are for biological females who are experiencing concerns with their menstrual cycles. Common disorders for treatment would include premenstrual symptoms, menstrual health concerns, perimenopause symptoms, and poly-cystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). Transgender hormone therapy and concerns for infertility are not included in services.

Jess does not perform pap smears or breast exams at this practice. These screenings are an important part of maintaining 8 health and can be done with another provider, like a PCP.

We are currently in-network with: Providence, Pacific Source Commercial, Aetna, Cigna, Moda, and Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield. We do not accept Oregon health plan, Medicaid, or Medicare at this time.
Please note: We bill primary insurance only. For folks with secondary insurance coverage, you will be responsible for any copays or deductible based on your primary insurance coverage. We will provide you with a superbill and receipt for you to submit to your secondary insurer for reimbursement based on your particular policy.

Yes, we do. There is a set price for fee-for-service patients. Payment will be due at time of appointment. We can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance company if you would like to file an out of network claim.

New patient appointments are 90 minutes and follow up appointments are 45 minutes.

Telehealth appointments are an option for established patients. We do not meet via telehealth for new patient appointments. Please be aware, some patients may be on certain medications that require more frequent in–person visits.

Ages for women's health visits may vary as women reach their menstrual cycles at different ages. Women's health visits are primary for women who are menstruating through menopause.

We offer a combination of treatments including medication management, laboratory studies, genetic testing, therapy, and lifestyle recommendations.
Jess does not offer IUDs, Nexplanon insertions, or Depo birth control injections at this practice.

We require 48 hours notice for schedule changes or cancellations. Any change in less than that amount of time may result in a late reschedule or missed appointment fee of $150. It will be your responsibility to pay the fee prior to scheduling your next appointment. Please be aware this policy is strictly enforced as there is high demand for appointments.
