Julie Smircic, LCSW

Julie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She received her Master's Degree in Social Work from Portland State University in 1997. Her extensive clinical experience in a wide range of settings prepared her to support clients navigating a variety of concerns. Julie focuses on the health, well-being, and psycho-spiritual development of adults, honoring the complexities of life’s transitions, challenges, and evolving roles.

Julie enjoys making mind-body awareness very practical and loves teaching clients how to connect more deeply to themselves. She specializes in treating anxiety, the impact of trauma, and educating clients about their nervous systems. Julie weaves together techniques from a variety of perspectives to create a personally tailored approach for each person she sees. She combines somatic and experiential techniques from Hakomi, internal parts work from Voice Dialogue, and energy psychology practices from a variety of disciplines. Julie is also experienced in supporting patients in the process of making lifestyle changes and integrating naturopathic and functional medicine treatment plans into their routines.

Julie is from South Carolina and moved to the Pacific Northwest in the 1990’s. The trees and rivers of Oregon drew her in and have never let her go. She is a novice seamstress and is creating her very first crazy quilt. She strives to uphold her new personal motto: ‘When in doubt, create!’.
