Jessica Yacques, PMHNP
Jessica Yacques is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) dedicated to walking alongside individuals on their journey to mental well-being. Her integrative approach combines medication management, psychotherapy, and evidence-based guidance on nutrition and lifestyle—rooted in the belief that healing is a collaborative, transformative process.
Jessica approaches her work with empathy, curiosity, and a deep respect for each person's unique story. Guided by her favorite quote from Robert Frost, “The only way out is through,” she recognizes that healing is challenging and requires courage and persistence.
Jessica provides comprehensive evaluations to uncover the underlying factors contributing to mental health concerns, allowing her to develop personalized treatment plans. She has experience treating a wide range of conditions, including mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and trauma-related disorders. Jessica also welcomes and affirms neurodivergent individuals, offering care that is respectful, strengths-based, and attuned to diverse ways of thinking and experiencing the world.
Her career in healthcare began in 2007 as a registered nurse in a rural medical unit, where she gained foundational clinical experience and a strong connection to community care. She later worked in intensive care, honing detailed clinical skills and learning the profound impact of presence and empathy during critical moments. After earning her advanced nursing degree, Jessica served for seven years as a Primary Care Provider in rural Ohio, where she developed a holistic understanding of how chronic medical conditions intersect with mental health.Witnessing the significant gap in mental health services within her community, Jessica was inspired to deepen her expertise. She returned to graduate school and earned her PMHNP certification in 2020, bringing both breadth and depth of experience to her psychiatric practice.
Outside of her professional life, Jessica finds joy in music, nature, and the company of her family. Life with two young children is full and vibrant, and she treasures the quiet, meaningful moments amidst the busyness. Having recently relocated to Corvallis from Ohio due to her spouse’s career, she is excited to build connections and serve the local community.
